Gregg Goldman was appointed executive vice president for finance and operations effective August 10, 2026. Goldman leads a broad and integrated portfolio spanning budget and financial planning, public safety, IT, facilities and construction, real estate, campus housing and other auxiliary services.

Goldman is a veteran finance and operations executive with over 30 years of experience at leading research universities with academic health systems. He previously served as the University of Minnesota’s executive vice president for finance and operations, with responsibility for a $4.5 billion operating budget and more than 2,700 employees across the university’s five campuses and its medical center.

Before joining the University of Minnesota, Goldman was the CFO and senior vice president of finance at Hillspire, a Silicon Valley-based family office supporting the investment, business and philanthropic activities of former Google CEO Eric Schmidt and his wife, Wendy. He previously served in senior finance and administrative leadership roles at the University of Arizona and UCLA, managing long-range financial planning, capital strategy and enterprise operations at both institutions.

Earlier in his career, Goldman held finance and operations leadership roles at the University of California, Irvine, and UCLA, and served for more than a decade as the chief financial and administrative officer at the USC Marshall School of Business. He also served as board chair of the National Association of College and University Business Officers.
