Rawlinson Stadium makes debut with ribbon-cutting and a Trojan win
The facility on the University Park Campus is the new home to the USC women’s soccer and lacrosse teams.

Rawlinson Stadium, the new home of the USC women’s soccer and lacrosse teams, made its premiere in fine form on Sunday with a festive ribbon-cutting and a USC victory.
“The new Rawlinson Stadium is not just an amazing new facility,” USC Interim President Beong-Soo Kim said. “It is a testament to USC’s commitment to women’s soccer and lacrosse. It is a testament to our community. And it is a testament to USC’s commitment to compete at the highest level of athletics in the nation.”
After the opening festivities, the USC women’s soccer team went on to christen the stadium with a 4-0 win over California Baptist. Trojan Jaiden Anderson scored the stadium’s first goal as she converted a penalty kick in the 23rd minute.
The project features spectator viewing decks and social spaces, a state-of-the-art press box, concession stands and a capacity of 2,500.
The stadium is named after the family of prominent Los Angeles philanthropist Joseph Rawlinson. He was close friends with fellow L.A. philanthropist and homebuilder Fritz B. Burns, whose namesake charity organization is now run by members of the Rawlinson family.
